To Become a Muslim is quite easy:
The most important thing is to search for the truth yourself (using your own logic and research tools). Acknowledge that there is One True Creator (Allah) - Pure Monotheism - and read about the final Prophet (Muhammed), peace be upon him, and all of the Prophets sent by Allah.
The declaration of faith is a testament to your belief (pronounced aloud): "Ash-hadu-an-la-ilaha illa Allah wa ash-hadu-anna-Muhammad Ar-rassool-ullah." - 'I testify that there is no god but Allah (The One True Creator of everything) and that Muhammed is the (final) Messenger of Allah.'
After this, one becomes a Muslim. Now, it is our right to find out what the Creator wants us to do. How do we live perfectly (in accordance with nature and creation)? How do we please the Creator of every single thing? We see what the revelation (The Qur'an) commands and what it forbids. We pray as the final Prophet, peace be upon him, showed us through generations of authentic chains of narrations. We try our best to act with integrity, honesty and, above all, sharpen our character to be like the Prophet Muhammed,p. We take him as our role model in this life and follow what the Creator wants. That's how we please Allah.
